Ohio State Second at Jessica C. Beck Memorial Invitational



COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State artistic swimming team hosted Stanford, Wheaton and Michigan in Saturday’s Jessica Beck Memorial Invitational, finishing second with 80 points on the day. Stanford took first in the meet with 80 points, followed by the Buckeyes, Wheaton with 52 points and Michigan with 46 points.  
 
Prior to the meet, Ohio State honored senior swimmers Marian Catahan and Hannah Heffernan and manager Madi Almond.
 
Saturday the Buckeyes debuted their 2025 team routines. Ohio State’s scarlet team routine finished second (218.2563) and the gray routine took third (185.8136).
 
Routine competition started with duets and Keana Hunter and Ruby Remati led the Buckeyes in third place with a score of 179.8908. Scarlett Finn and Emma Spott took fourth (172.9396) followed by Daniella and Gabriella Molano Arango (138.0175) in fifth. Sara Levaro and Ayla O’Neil (129.8929) finished seventh and Janneke Dirven and Leonie Corbeil (118.3467) took ninth.
 
Hannah Heffernan was the lone soloist for the Buckeyes in Saturday’s meet, taking second with a score of 137.9238.
 
The trio of Heffernan, Hunter and Remati placed second (206.8721). Ohio State finished fourth through seventh with Dirven, Finn and Spott in fourth (193.7100); Charlotte Gray, Angelie Roger and Maddie Romney in fifth (160.5338); Catahan, Natalie Smith and Nathalia Valdez in sixth (157.4613); and Carmen Kawakami, Lilly Ortiz and Venice Shoda in seventh (125.9367).
