COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women’s hockey team completed its series sweep of Bemidji State with a 4-0 win Saturday at the OSU Ice Rink.
The Buckeyes (15-5-3, 10-5-3 WCHA) scored three times on the power play to down the Beavers (4-18-1, 2-14-0 WCHA).
Short Story
Ohio State scored on its first power play opportunity of the game and didn’t let up from there. Jenna Buglioni scored off the first faceoff of the player-advantage, finishing on a rebounded shot from Kiara Zanon at 5:14 in the first period.
Makenna Webster tallied the lone even-strength goal for the Buckeyes, again cleaning up in front of the net, this time at 7:54 in the second period.
Joy Dunne scored in the final minute of the middle frame, with 27 seconds remaining on the power play, to extend the Ohio State lead to 3-0. Emily Zumwinkle put the exclamation point on the Buckeyes’ win, scoring her first goal in the scarlet and gray sweater with a power play goal at 10:41 in the third to finish the scoring.
Junior goaltender Hailey MacLeod stopped 14 shots for the shutout.

Game Notes
- Buglioni’s goal was her 150th career point. She is just the sixth Ohio State player to reach 150 points in the Buckeye sweater.
- The sweep of the Beavers is the team’s first on home ice this season. Ohio State’s last sweep came at Bemidji State in the fall.
- Hailey MacLeod earned her third shutout of the season on Saturday. The shutout marks the first time since Jan. 19-20, 2024 that Ohio State earned back-to-back shutouts in a series with 3-0 and 1-0 wins over Minnesota Duluth.
- Jocelyn Amos finished the game with a team-high three points on three assists. She led the team with seven points on the weekend after scoring four goals in Friday’s game.
- Ohio State finished the weekend 6-for-10 on the power play to improve its season power play percentage to .246 this season.
