Buckeyes Set to Earn Degrees at Autumn Commencement



COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sunday, 50 current and former Ohio State student-athletes will receive degrees as the University holds Autumn Commencement ceremonies at 2 p.m. in the Schottenstein Center. A live stream is available HERE.

  • Eight football players who will start Saturday in the historic College Football Playoff first-round game at Ohio Stadium will graduate Sunday: CB Denzel Burke, RT Josh Fryar, RB TreVeyon Henderson, QB Will Howard, OT Donovan Jackson, SAF Lathan Ransom, DE Jack Sawyer and DT Tyleik Williams.
  • Hunter Armstrong is a three-time Olympic gold medalist and the world record holder in the long-course 50 backstroke. In 2022, he earned individual Big Ten titles in both the 50 free and the 100 free. 
  • Elexis Edwards is an All-American on floor for the Ohio State women’s gymnastics team. She was twice named an All-Big Ten performer in her career for the Buckeyes.  
  • Both Michael Adedokun and Siggi Magnusson are semifinalists for the 2024 MAC Hermann Award. Ohio State is one of three universities with two athletes on the 15-member semifinalist list.
  • Six men’s soccer graduates were starters for the No. 1 ranked Buckeyes this season. The team played Friday in the semifinals of the 2024 College Cup in Cary, N.C.
  • Kenzie Hauswirth is a two-time national champion for the Ohio State women’s hockey team. She helped the Buckeyes secure their first national title in program history in 2022 by scoring the game-winning goal in the 3-2 win over Minnesota Duluth in the championship game. Hauswirth also helped the program to its first two WCHA regular season titles in 2023 and 2024 and a WCHA Final Faceoff title in 2022.
  • Kade Kern was a member of the Ohio State baseball program from 2021-23. He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 17th round of the 2023 MLB Draft. 
  • Kailyn Dudukovich was a women’s soccer First Team All-American this season as she led the country with 19 goals. She finished her career as the program’s all-time leader in career goals (44) and career points (98).
  • Peyton McNamara is a two-time women’s soccer captain who played in 73 career games and notched 15 goals. She also played for Jamaica in the 2023 World Cup as she helped the Jamaicans advance to the knock-out round for the first time in the country’s history.
  • Shaun Miller Jr. is a two-time All-American in the high jump, including a first team selection in the 2023 outdoor season. Miller Jr. is also a three-time All-Big Ten honoree and ranks second in program history in the high jump, both indoor and outdoor. 
  • Emily Londot began her Buckeye women’s volleyball collegiate career as the national freshman of the year and ended as a three-time All-American and five-time all-region selection, including being the regional player of the year in 2022. The five-time All-Big Ten selection wrapped up her collegiate career as one of only two players in program history to record 2,000 career kills, 2,000 career points and 1,000 career digs, also ranking in the top 10 in five career categories. Londot was drafted 10th overall in the 2024 PVF Draft by the Omaha Supernovas. 
  • Rylee Rader’s collegiate women’s volleyball career included earning AVCA All-American honors, in addition to being a two-time All-Region selection and four-time All-Big Ten selection. Rader finished as a top five blocker in program history in both block assists and total blocks and surpassed 1,000 career kills this season.
  • Cannon Kingsley is a four-time men’s tennis All-American and the only five-time All-Big Ten honoree. He helped the Buckeyes win four Big Ten titles as well as the 2024 ITA Indoor Team National Championship and finished his career in the Top 15 for combined wins.
  • Jamie Lasda is an All-Big Ten selection for the women’s lacrosse team. A two-time IWLCA Academic Honor Roll selection, she ended her career ninth all-time in career draw controls and tied for eighth in career assists. She represented Latvia in the 2022 World Championships.
  • Fencer Diego Cervantes, who competed at the 2020 Olympic games for Mexico, is a two-time All-American for the Buckeyes and a three-time NCAA qualifier. He earned three all-conference honors and was the Buckeyes’ B1G Sportsmanship Award winner in 2024.
