COLUMBUS, Ohio – Junior Ohio State pitcher Blaine Wynk has been named a Preseason All-American by Perfect Game, announced on Tuesday. Wynk was selected to the third team.
Wynk was one of the Buckeyes’ most reliable arms out of the bullpen last season, with the righty making 21 appearances in 2024. Wynk led the Ohio State pitchers with a 3.38 ERA. He fanned 38 batters in 40.0 innings pitched, picking up two saves and notching a 2-1 record. He was selected to the All-Big Ten Third Team at the conclusion of the season.
Wynk had a stellar summer season with the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod League. He made seven appearances on the mound, including four starts, and finished the summer season with a 2.55 ERA. He tossed 24.2 innings and struck out 22 opponents.
Wynk was one of just three Big Ten student-athletes to be selected to Perfect Game’s preseason all-America teams. Joining him were Indiana outfielder Devin Taylor (second team) and Michigan State pitcher Joseph Dwierza (third team).
Wynk was also named one of Perfect Game’s top 300 2025 MLB Draft prospects, coming in at No. 202.
