DJI E-Bikes Are Finally on Sale In the US, One Costs Over $10,000

DJI isn’t just about drones anymore as the company has expanded to sell gimbals, microphones, power stations, and electric bikes. Under a different brand called Amflow, DJI’s first e-bikes have now made their way to the United States.

The Amflow electric mountain bikes have been on sale in Europe since last year, but this is the first time their tires have touched down in the US. The two new products are the Amflow PL Carbon and the PL Carbon Pro.

As the name suggests, they’re made of carbon fiber with an estimated range of 157 km using their 800Wh batteries. Each bike includes the Avinox Drive System that provides torque up to 105 Nm in its standard mode, while Boost mode can hit 120 Nm. Other assist modes include Walk for incline traversal, Auto Hold to stop the bike rolling back, and Hill Start Assist to help you get started on steep terrain.

There’s a 2-inch OLED screen on each bike where you can get real-time data about your rides, but you can also access the bike through an app to get further insights. Stats include speed, range, cadence, torque, gradient, altitude, calories burned, heart rate, and more.

The prices are incredibly high for Amflow bikes with the PL Carbon at $7,499, and the PL Carbon Pro hitting $10,199. You can buy the e-bikes through the Amflow website, and they come with a no questions asked 30 day returns policy if it’s not the right bike for you.

DJI’s expansion into other gadgets comes at a time when the brand is facing a potential ban of its drones in the US. It’s thought by the end of the year new drones and future updates for existing products may be stopped as part of the Countering CCP Drones Act. The brand itself has asked customers to put their names to a petition asking the US government to audit DJI before a ban goes into place.

DJI is also rumored to be introducing its first robot vacuum under the name Romo. A teaser showing a robot vacuum on the company’s Chinese social media channels suggests a launch is happening on August 6.
