TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo women’s cross country/track & field student-athletes Laura Nicholson and Lou Trois were named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
This marks Nicholson’s second-straight season earning Academic All-District honors and the first award of Trois’ career.
In addition to having at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, qualifying student-athletes must have at least a sophomore or higher academic standing and a top-50 regional TFRRS ranking or a top-50 finish in a regional meet.
Nicholson concluded the outdoor track & field season ranked 12th in the nation in the 1500m (4:07.17) and 27th in the country in the 5000m (15:33.04). Trois earned an 18th-place finish (20:01.4) in the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Great Lakes Regional Championship, bringing home All-Region honors.
Nicholson will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced on July 15.
