COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State field hockey graduate student Makenna Webster has been named the Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.
Webster helped the Buckeyes (5-5, 2-1 Big Ten) to two conference wins over the weekend. She netted the game-winning goal as Ohio State upset Maryland, 2-1, in overtime on Friday, Oct. 3. Webster scored er 16th goal of the season on Sunday, Oct. 5 as the Buckeyes shut out Penn State, 2-0.
This is the second Big Ten weekly award of the season for Webster; she was also named the Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 6.
Webster leads the Buckeyes this season with 16 goals, four assists and 36 points. She is tied for first in the Big Ten in points and is second in goals.
The Buckeyes are back in action on Sunday, Oct. 12 when they host Michigan at 1:00 p.m.
