COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s volleyball team (3-7, 0-2 B1G) takes its first Big Ten trip of the season this weekend, facing Washington (5-7, 0-2 B1G) on Friday at 10 p.m. ET and Oregon (9-3, 0-2 B1G) on Saturday at 9 p.m. ET. Both matches will be broadcast live on B1G+.

BUCKEYE PREVIEW
- Ohio State dropped both matches in the opening weekend of conference play, losing to then RV UCLA (25-20, 22-25, 24-26, 25-22, 11-15) and No. 17 USC (23-25, 22-25, 15-25). The Buckeyes begin the weekend with a 3-7 overall record.
- Sophomore libero Olivia Hasbrook ranks second in the Big Ten with 3.75 digs/set this season, while junior outside hitter Hannah Jones ranks ninth with 3.78 kills/set. Jones recorded her third match with 20+ kills against UCLA and Hasbrook was in double figures in digs in both matches last weekend.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
- Washington enters Friday’s match with a 5-7 overall record and a 0-2 mark in Big Ten play after getting swept by then No. 10 Purdue and RV Indiana during the first weekend of conference play. The Huskies have played three ranked opponents this season.
- Kierstyn Barton leads the Washington offense and ranks eighth in the B1G with 3.88 kills/set, while setter Alexis Haury is in the top 10 with 9.64 assists/set.
- Defensively, Zoria Heard ranks seventh in the conference with 3.54 digs/set and Kayla Kauffman sits just outside the top 10 with 1.26 blocks/set.
HISTORY WITH WASHINGTON
- Ohio State leads 4-3 in the all-time series against Washington but lost the only previous matchup in Seattle.
- Last season, the Buckeyes earned the sweep (25-11, 25-22, 25-19) of the Huskies in the first match as conference opponents.
SCOUTING THE DUCKS
- Oregon enters the weekend with a 9-3 record on the season and a 0-2 mark in Big Ten play. The Ducks will host Iowa on Friday at 9 p.m. ET after dropping matches to Illinois and Northwestern during the first conference weekend.
- Valentina Vaulet leads the Oregon offense with 3.40 kills/set, while setter Cora Taylor is averaging 7.17 assists/set.
- Iva Sucurovic is third in the Big Ten with 1.35 blocks/set, while Natalie Fukumoto leads the back-row defense with 2.58 digs/set.
HISTORY WITH OREGON
- Ohio State trails 1-6 in the all-time series against Oregon and lost the only previous match played in Eugene.
- Last season, the Buckeyes fell in straight sets (23-25, 21-25, 14-25) to the Ducks in the first Big Ten matchup between the programs.
- Ohio State’s lone win of the series came on Sept. 6, 1996 in five sets (11-15, 15-10, 15-17, 15-9, 15-7).
