Ohio State Paces B1G in Spring/At-Large Academic All-Big Ten Selections



COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State led the Big Ten with 256 student-athletes from spring and at-large sports recognized with Academic All-Big Ten honors, the Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday. In all, 2,823 student-athletes from the conference who competed in spring and at-large sports were recognized. The complete list of Buckeye honorees is linked above.

The 256 Ohio State spring and at-large sports honorees join 103 winter sport student-athletes and 147 Buckeyes from fall sports who were honored during 2024-25. Spring and at-large sports for Ohio State include artistic swimming, baseball, men’s and women’s fencing, men’s and women’s golf, women’s hockey, men’s and women’s lacrosse, pistol, rifle, rowing, softball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s track and field and men’s volleyball.

 

Ohio State was one of just three B1G schools with at least 200 selections. This is the third year in a row the Buckeyes led the B1G in June honorees, with 262 recognized the last two years.

 

The rowing program led the Buckeye spring and at-large sports with 42 honorees, followed by men’s and women’s lacrosse with 29 and 27, respectively, and women’s track and field with 20. Men’s fencing had 16 honorees and both women’s fencing and women’s hockey had 15. Thirteen men’s track and field student-athletes were recognized and baseball and artistic swimming each placed 12 on the list, followed by softball (11) and men’s volleyball (10). Rifle had eight honorees and women’s and men’s tennis had seven and six, respectively. Pistol and men’s golf each also had six, with three women’s golfers recognized.
