COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 11/8 Ohio State women’s basketball team (10-0, 1-0 B1G) hosts Grand Valley State (11-0, 2-0 GLIAC) on Tuesday for a noon game and Brutus day. The game will be broadcast on B1G+ and AM1460.

• Ohio State earned an 87-39 win against Youngstown State on Saturday on girl dad day and youth day.
• The Buckeye defense held its opponent to less than 40 points for the first time since Dec. 8, 2022 against New Hampshire.
• OSU’s defense also totaled 17 steals, forced 34 turnovers and didn’t allow a double-figure scorer.
• Cotie McMahon led the Buckeyes with a season-high 29 points and was joined in double figures by Ajae Petty (19) and Chance Gray (12). Petty added 12 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.
• Grand Valley State visits Columbus with an unbeaten 11-0 mark on the season after defeating Drury on Sunday by a 104-63 margin.
• The Lakers also hold wins this season against Findlay, Montana State Billings, Union, Ohio Dominican, Walsh, Thomas More, Ashland, Saginaw Valley State, Wayne State and Quincy.
• Grand Valley State is averaging 83 points per game as a team with its scoring led by Rylie Bisballe (14.1 ppg) and Ellie Droste (10.0 ppg). MacKenzie Bisballe leads the rebounding efforts with 5.3 per game.
• The all-time series between Ohio State and Grand Valley State is tied at one game apiece. The Buckeyes won the lone meeting in Columbus by a 73-49 margin last season. Before last season, the teams had not met since March 11, 1976 at a neutral site for the MAIAW.
• In the Dec. 15, 2023 meeting, the Buckeyes built a 43-19 lead at halftime after holding the Lakers to just eight points in the second quarter. Ohio State’s defense forced 32 turnovers and recorded 22 steals.
• OSU’s offense was a balanced effort with eight different players scoring five or more points. Taylor Thierry leads the returners’ production with 11 points and was a perfect 5-of-5 from the floor in last season’s meeting.
