COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 22 Ohio State women’s soccer continues its home stretch at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium this week with a pair of Big Ten matchups, hosting Wisconsin on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. before taking on Nebraska Sunday at noon. Both matches will be streamed live on B1G+.
Admission and parking are free for all Ohio State women’s soccer matches.
Thursday’s match will be Our Honor Defend Night with a t-shirt giveaway to students. Sunday, there will be a Block Party on campus between Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium and the Covelli Center from 10:30-12:30. It will also be Pups at the Pitch on Sunday. Bring your dog and enjoy the match!
- Ohio State is 4-1-2 overall and 0-0-1 in Big Ten play after a scoreless draw vs. Michigan in front of 2,300+ fans last Thursday.
- The Buckeyes outshot Michigan 22-13, including a 12-2 advantage in corners, and hit the post twice in the final minutes.
- Midfielder Callie Tumilty continues to generate dangerous chances in the attacking third, coming inches away from her first goal of the season with multiple late efforts against Michigan, including a strike off the crossbar in the 82nd minute.
- Forward Amanda Schlueter has opened the 2025 season with five goals and two assists, continuing the momentum from her breakout sophomore campaign. She enters this week with 21 career goals and 21 career assists.
- Goalkeeper Molly Pritchard has established herself as one of the Big Ten’s top goalkeepers, posting a 0.45 goals-against average through seven matches this season with 14 saves.
- Over her career, Pritchard has appeared in all but one contest the past three years and has been directly involved in 21 shutouts.
Scouting Wisconsin
- Wisconsin enters the week with a 3-4-1 overall record and an 0-1-0 mark in Big Ten play.
- The Badgers dropped their conference opener 2-1 to Purdue, despite outshooting the Boilermakers 11-4 in the first half and holding a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks.
- Erin Connolly scored Wisconsin’s lone goal in the 81st minute off an assist from Ella Ottey.
