The CCFC
- This is the fifth year for the Central Collegiate Fencing Conference.
- In year one, no postseason event was held because of the pandemic-altered schedules during the 2021 season. Conference champions were determined by winning percentage during the regular season against conference opponents. The Buckeyes won the men’s team championship and shared the women’s team title with Northwestern. Ohio State captured the men’s sabre and women’s epee outright squad titles, while men’s epee, men’s foil and women’s sabre were co-champions.
- In 2022 and 2023, Ohio State claimed both the men’s and women’s team titles. The Buckeyes captured the women’s saber, men’s and women’s foil and men’s epee titles both of those years, as well as the men’s saber crown in 2022 and the 2023 women’s epee championship.
- Last year, the Buckeyes were the men’s champion and the men swept the team titles in all three weapons. The women finished second and women’s foil captured the squad title. Individually, Edriss Ndiaye (men’s foil) and Dasha Myroniuk (women’s foil) claimed gold. In all, the Buckeye men and women combined for 21 Top 8 finishes, with 12 reaching at least the semifinals. Among current Buckeyes, MIles Weiss (2023), Solin Li (2023) and Yeva Mazur (2023) also have won CCFC titles. Myroniuk is the two-time defending champion.
