COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 13 Ohio State women’s golf team is headed to Carlsbad, Calif. to compete in the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2018.

- The NCAA Championships will be held at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. The golf course is a 6,330-yard par 72.
- The tournament will begin with three rounds of stroke play Friday, May 16-Sunday, May 18. After Sunday’s round, 30 teams will be cut down to 15. The top 15 will play one more round of stroke play on Monday, May 19 before the field is cut down to the top eight. Tuesday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 21 will feature match play to crown a team champion.
- Live coverage will air on Golf Channel Monday-Wednesday and live stats will be provided by Clippd.
- The Buckeyes’ lineup will be Kary Hollenbaugh, Faith Choi, Nellie Ong, Marina Joyce-Moreno and Mandy Song. Kavya Ajjarapu will serve as a substitute.
Buckeye Notes
- This is the Buckeyes’ first appearance in the NCAA Championships since 2018. This will be the 23rd NCAA Championship appearance in program history.
- The Buckeyes’ highest NCAA finish came in 2003, when they placed fourth out of 24 teams.
- Ohio State placed third at the NCAA Columbus Regional at the OSU Scarlet Course to punch its ticket to the championships. The Buckeyes shot a team score of 865 (+1). Choi and Ong led the team, tying for sixth place with a three-round score of 215 (-1).
- Hollenbaugh won four individual titles during the spring season, which is tied for the most wins in a single season in program history. She tied for second place at the Big Ten Championships with a 54-hole score of 212 (-4) and she tied for 10th at regionals with an even 216. Hollenbaugh leads the Buckeyes with a career-best 70.9 scoring average and 29 of her 30 rounds played this season have counted toward the team score. She has fired a team-best 13 rounds in the 60s and leads the Buckeyes in birdies with 102.
- Choi is averaging a score of 72.56 per round and 29 of her 30 rounds played have counted toward the team score. She has shot five rounds in the 60s this season and has finished in the top 20 seven times. She is second on the team in birdies with 96. Choi tied for 10th place at the Big Ten Championships, shooting an even 216 over three rounds.
- Ong is also averaging a round score of 72.56 and 29 of her 30 rounds have counted toward the team score. She has carded four rounds in the 60s this season and is third on the team in birdies with 87. She has finished in the top 20 at seven tournaments.
- Joyce-Moreno is averaging an 18-hole score of 74.34. She has fired four rounds in the 60s. She has 70 birdies and has finished in the top 20 three times.
- Song is averaging a score of 76.37 per round. She has 64 birdies
