Senior all-arounder Nelson made history Friday in the Buckeyes’ season opener at the West Point Open. Nelson became the first gymnast in the world to compete two triple backs in a floor routine. Nelson won the floor competition at the West Point Open and currently leads the country with a 13.800.

At the Rod McCravy Invite, Oiler placed first in the one mile with a time of 5:00.45, earning 10 points for the Buckeyes.
Taylor Thierry | Women’s Basketball | Sr. | Cleveland, Ohio

Thierry, a guard/forward, helped the Buckeyes to a pair of wins last week, averaging 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game.

On Sunday against Oregon, Thierry scored a season-high 20 points to lead the game. She added four rebounds, including the 600th of her career, and three steals, while shooting 6-of-10 (.600) from the floor and a perfect 3-of-3 from long range. Her three made triples ties her career high. Thierry moved up to 19th on the program’s all-time leading rebounders list.

On Wednesday at No. 25 Michigan, Thierry finished with eight points, a game-leading four steals and tied for the game high with seven rebounds. She moved up to 12th in program history in career steals and now has 196.

This season, Thierry is averaging 10.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. She also leads the team in steals (39) and three-point percentage (.500). Thierry is second in the conference with 2.4 steals per game.
