Buckeye Senior Trio Earns CSC Academic All-District Accolades

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The three seniors on the Ohio State women’s tennis team – Shelly Bereznyak, Sydni Ratliff and Dani Schoenly – have been named to the  College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 grade-point average at her current institution and must be in at least their second collegiate season.

Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with Ratliff advancing for the Buckeyes. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced June 3.

Ratliff and Bereznyak both earned their third all-district accolade and Schoenly is a first-time honoree. All three Buckeyes were named Ohio State Scholar-Athletes and are expected to receive Academic All-Big Ten honors later this spring. The trio received their bachelor’s degrees at Spring Commencement earlier this month.

Bereznyak, from Bat Yam, Israel, was 29-8 in singles in 2024-25, going 18-4 in dual matches, including an 8-1 mark in Big Ten play. A two-time NCAA singles and doubles qualifier, Ratliff has been ranked as high as 15th in singles and fourth in doubles in her career.
