Women’s Golf to Close Out Fall Schedule at Kansas State



MANHATTAN, Kans. – The BGSU women’s golf team will head to Manhattan, Kans. this week, Oct. 20-21 for the Powercat Invitational hosted by Kansas State University. The Falcons return to action this week after enjoying some time off from their previous tournament, where they finished fifth at the Diane Thomason Invitational hosted by the University of Iowa. 

Teeing off for the Falcons at the Powercat will be Addison Kartusch, Macie Elzinga, Clare Yeazell, Sammie Dolce and Ava O’Sulivan. BGSU finished fifth at the Powercat in 2024, as they shot a 912 as a team. Ava O’Sullivan will look to build on her success at the Powercat last year, as she finished +5 over par and took seventh individually in the tournament. Macie Elzinga also earned a top 20 finish last year, as she finished +8 over par and took 18th overall. 

The tournament will to off at 9:15 on Monday, Oct. 20. Rounds one and two will be played on Monday, with the final round wrapping up on Tuesday. Kansas State will host the tournament at Colbert Hills Golf Course, a par 72 with a total yardage of 6,446.

The Powercat marks the Falcons final competition of their fall slate of tournaments, as they prepare for the MAC schedule in the spring. BGSU will look to continue to build momentum, as they have placed in the top five in each of their tournaments so far, and came away victorious after the A-Ga-Ming Invitational at the end of August.
