Yungblud cancels remainder of his world tour due to health concerns but promises to refund ticket holders and “make it up” to fans in the future.
WASHINGTON — British musician Yungblud, born Dominic Richard Harrison, canceled the remainder of his “Idols: The World Tour” dates due to a health issue.
“It is in my nature to run and run until I run myself to the ground without giving a (expletive) about anything apart from the music and you guys but at this time I’ve been told I have to take it seriously and I can’t (expletive) around,” he posted to social media Saturday evening.
Harrison, best known for his “own blend of alternative rock” and performing Ozzy Osbournes tribute alongside Areosmith’s Steven Tyler at the 2025 VMAs, also pulled out of Limp Bizkit’s upcoming “Loserville” tour in Latin America, citing his health.
While Saturday’s post didn’t explain exactly what is going on, he said he has been “ordered” by his doctors to take a break for the rest of the year after some voice and blood test “raised some concerns.”
“I don’t want to do any lasting damage to myself, we are on a journey that I want to last forever,” he wrote. “I just want you to know that this is so hard for me to do but I promise I will make it up to you.”
Earlier this year, Harrison stepped away from playing a show in Liverpool, England due to tonsillitis. To make it up to fans, he “put some money behind the bar” in Liverpool for concert ticket holders to get free drinks.
“I’m so sad I can’t be there but at least you can be together and celebrate each other, as that’s what Yungblud is all about,” he wrote in a now expired social media post. “I love you. Again, I’m truly sorry.”
The rest of the now canceled tour dates for the year are as follows:
- Nov. 19, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Nov. 23, Cleveland, Ohio
- Nov. 25, Washington D.C.
- Nov. 26, Washington D.C.
All tickets will be refunded and Harrison says his “heart is broken” by the decision. He also said he will send ticketholders a gift if they input their address when their ticket is refunded.
“I never take anyone’s love, support or energy for granted. You know you are everything to me. But I need this time,” he wrote. “USA I will see you next year. Mexico and (Latin America), we are already looking into my own shows down there that will be more affordable for next year too. It’s gonna be unbelievable. I can’t wait.”
Harrison is nominated three times at the upcoming Grammys for Best Rock Album for his fourth studio album “IDOLS,” Best Rock Song for his single “Zombie,” and Best Rock Performance for his rendition of Black Sabbath’s “Changes” live at Villa Park.
