TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Authorities charged a Toledo woman accused of breaking into the home of a person she knows and cutting his testicle, police said.
Jeanita Hopings, 45, of Toledo, was charged with felonious assault and aggravated burglary for the alleged assault on Oct. 7.
Charging records allege she forcefully kicked open the front door to the victim’s Toledo home on Boothbay and came in without permission. The victim told investigators that he heard someone break in and ran downstairs to see who it was, and he did not have clothes on at the time.
The affidavit alleges Hopings assaulted the man by cutting his testicle sac with an “unknown instrument,” causing it to be “clearly exposed as a result of the laceration.” He needed medical treatment at the hospital.
Court records updated Wednesday said police issued a warrant for her arrest.
