Toledo woman accused of breaking into man’s home, cutting his testicle

Jeanita Hopings, 45, allegedly kicked the victim’s front door down Tuesday night and cut his testicle sac open, requiring medical treatment, police reports say.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Police have issued an arrest warrant for a Toledo woman who allegedly broke into a man’s home late Tuesday night and cut his testicle sac “with an unknown instrument,” according to court documents.

Jeanita Hopings, 45, faces charges of felonious assault and aggravated burglary for the incident on Boothbay Drive in west Toledo’s Reynolds Corner neighborhood.

According to a police report, the victim said he heard a break-in at his home and ran downstairs “to see who it was and he was not clothed.”

Hopings had kicked open the victim’s front door shortly before midnight, according to a police report, and then cut his testicle sac, exposing the testicle and requiring him to be taken to the hospital.

Hopings fled the scene after the assault, and the victim identified her to police.
