TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo man is fighting for his life after being badly burned in a fire over the weekend.
Police were called out to a home on Deal, located between Navarre and Starr, around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Officers arrived to help with the scene and found a 59-year-old man in his wheelchair on the front porch, suffering from severe burns over most of his body, police reports said.
Toledo Fire and Rescue crews took him to an area hospital for injuries police described as life-threatening.
Additional details about what may have sparked the fire are unclear at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
