TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo man accused of carrying out multiple business robberies is behind bars, with investigators saying the suspect became violent with employees in some cases.
Ramone Loving, 38, is being held on a $300 bond and faces charges of two aggravated robberies. Police say he carried out one of the robberies at the Boost Mobile on Dorr Street.
In a 911 call obtained by 13 Action News, an employee’s voice trembled as she described what happened.
“Hello, we just got robbed,” the caller told the dispatcher.
When asked how the robbery occurred, the employee said, “He came with a gun and he had like something on his face.”
Loving is also accused of robbing two AutoZone locations, the Subway on Monroe Street and Sunset Carry Out on North Detroit.
According to a Toledo Police report, the suspect jumped the counter at one location, hit an employee on the back of the head with a gun and demanded to be taken to the safe.
Officer Prince Flores said the clerk did the right thing by handing over the money.
“We would ask that you comply so you can get away and safely relay that information,” Flores said.
Police arrested Loving after the Boost Mobile robbery. Investigators said they found several iPhones on Loving and that he was wearing the same clothing he had on during the alleged robbery.
“We believe he’s involved in a few others. So currently, the detectives will bring that information to the grand jury for a possible indictment,” Flores said.
Investigators say they used surveillance video and eyewitness accounts to connect Loving to the robberies.
