Toledo man arrested for allegedly throwing bleach, hot grease at victim

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Toledo man was arrested on June 4 for allegedly throwing hot grease and bleach at someone’s back.

According to court records, Fonnie Virden was charged with felonious assault. He was already facing charges of aggravated menacing and disorderly conduct from an incident that occurred in December 2024.

Virden’s disorderly conduct charge stems from an incident in December 2024 in which he allegedly was on a porch yelling profanities and continued after receiving multiple warnings from police. While in the county jail, Virden made multiple threats to murder and harm a victim.

Virden’s bond was set at $100,000 for his felonious assault charge. He is due back in court on June 12.
