In addition to its ongoing summer-long programs and Family Pride Night, the library has partnered with Jupmode for a merchandise collection celebrating Toledo Pride.
TOLEDO, Ohio — While June is typically designated as Pride Month, the Glass City’s celebrations stretch into August and the Toledo Library is offering activities and new merchandise to mark the occasion.
Toledo Pride is held every August, with the primary reason being that it allows members of the community to attend other festivities throughout the month of June. What began as a small event has grown into a large celebration and the Toledo Lucas County Public Library has once again joined in with a full slate of something for everyone.
The library has offered free public programs celebrating Pride throughout the summer, with more to come throughout August.
In addition to the programs, the Toledo Library teased a new design for a line of limited-edition merchandise. The library is partnering with Jupmode for the collection, which celebrates pride and inclusivity. The new collection features a t-shirt, crewneck sweatshirt, longsleeved t-shirt and tote bag with the theme of “The Library is for Everyone.”

The merchandise will be available for online preorder starting Monday through Aug. 31. The library encourages visiting toledolibrary.org/shop for more details regarding the launch.
The Toledo Library also outlined the details of its online and in-person Toledo Pride programs for August.
Programs include the annual Family Pride Night on Aug. 13, which offers a chance for everyone to get involved through games, crafts and activities on the North Lawn of the Main Library in downtown Toledo from 6-8 p.m. The event is presented by the Toledo Library and community partners Equality Toledo, Imagination Station, Metroparks Toledo and the Toledo Museum of Art.
