TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Mayors’ Cup is returning to Toledo as part of the Italian Bowl XLIV festivities.
The event will take place on June 14 at 2 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales High School located at 2323 W. Bancroft St.
According to organizers, the Mayors’ Cup features multiple mayors from northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan who compete in a skills competition for the ultimate bragging rights.
“While perhaps not as grueling as awaiting election night results, the competition promises to again be fierce as they put their athletic prowess on display during a variety of heats designed by event organizer Coach Mike Rob,” organizers said in a press release. “After all, another two years of bragging rights are on the line!”
The following mayors will be competing this year:
Melvin Sprauer – Clay Center
Don Walters – Cuyahoga Falls
Sharetta Smith – Lima
Jim Gardner – Luna Pier
Edward Schimmel – Northwood
Michael Seferian – Oregon
Mike Frye – Sylvania
Wade Kapszukiewicz – Toledo
Timothy Pedro – Waterville
Ty Tracy – Woodville
