TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Sherrod Brown is expected to announce he’ll be running to represent Ohio in the U.S. Senate, according to multiple reports.
The former Democratic Senator from Ohio would be running against Republican Senator Jon Husted, who was appointed to the position when Vice President JD Vance took over his current role with the Trump administration.
Brown lost his re-election bid last year to Republican Senator Bernie Moreno by about three and a half points. It was the most expensive non-presidential election in U.S. history.
13 Action News reported on Brown’s potential political comeback last week. Find that story and an extended Action News Now interview with our political analyst Dr. Melissa Miller at the link here.
