The city said the closure will allow for the installation of a new waterline.
OREGON, Ohio — An Oregon city roadway will be closed for nearly two weeks due to a construction project, the city’s police department said in a social media post Friday.
Starting Monday, July 14, Wynn Road will be closed between Navarre Avenue and Seaman Road to all traffic. The closure will last for 11 days, with its last day scheduled for Friday, July 25 at 5 p.m.
The full closure will be located at Wynn Road at Starr Avenue/Starr Avenue Extension, but access to those neighborhoods will be available during the closure, according to the post.
The police department said the closure is necessary to allow a plumbing company to install a new waterline beneath the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks.
Road signs will signal the detour to drivers. It is also listed below:
- Navarre Avenue (SR 2) to North Curtice Road
- North Curtice Road to Cedar Point Road
- Cedar Point Road to Wynne Road
