Police pursuit ends in crash in Uptown Maumee

The city of Maumee said in a Facebook post that the pursuit began in Bowling Green.

MAUMEE, Ohio — A police pursuit ended in a crash in Uptown Maumee Wednesday morning, according to the city. 

In a Facebook post, the city said a pursuit that began in Bowling Green ended in Maumee when the car that police were chasing crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of Dudley and Conant streets. 

It is unknown at this time if any injuries occurred as a result of the crash, or how the pursuit began. 

The city of Maumee shut down Conant between Wayne and John streets due to the incident. Rescue crews are on the scene. 

Multiple other agencies, including Perrysburg police, Bowling Green police and Ohio State Highway Patrol were also on scene, according to photographs posted by the city. 

WTOL 11 has sent a crew to the scene. We will provide more updates as they become available.
