Police: Cleveland Browns rookie Quinshon Judkins hit girlfriend during argument

According to the police report obtained by 3News, the incident began after Judkins and his girlfriend landed at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

CLEVELAND — New details have emerged following the arrest of Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins on a domestic battery charge.

According to the police report obtained by 3News, the incident began after Judkins and his girlfriend landed at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport late on July 7.

The woman, who identified herself as Judkins’ girlfriend, reported the incident five days later, on July 12. She allegedly showed officers visible bruising and photos of her injuries, which included her chin, lip, left arm and thigh.

After the victim came out of a restroom, the two proceeded to baggage claim, where Judkins allegedly confronted her, saying, “Oh wow, I can’t believe you” and “I’m so done with you.”

She told police she didn’t understand what he meant, but once they got into a rented Lamborghini SUV, Judkins became more agitated after reading text messages from her family members. The woman said she tried to explain that the messages were not true and had been taken out of context. According to police, she said she began to stutter due to anxiety and that’s when Judkins punched her in the mouth and chin area with a closed fist.

The report also notes that she told police she exited the vehicle and called Judkins’ mother, but didn’t disclose the incident.

She reentered the SUV and sat in the back seat. The argument allegedly continued and while driving, Judkins allegedly turned and hit her multiple times on her arm and leg.

At one point, the vehicle stopped in a Burger King parking lot, where she got out again before eventually reentering and telling Judkins, “don’t touch me again,” according to the report.

When asked why she did not contact 911, Fort Lauderdale police say “the victim stated she felt bad due to the recent success and career of the defendant.” Additionally, she told police that she decided to contact them after speaking with family and friends and realizing that something needed to be done.

The woman told officers that she and Judkins had previously lived together from May to December 2024 and had recently rekindled their romantic relationship in June 2025.

Officers interviewed the victim and then took Judkins into custody on the misdemeanor charge of battery (touch or strike.) He was transported to Broward County Main Jail and appeared in court Sunday morning.

During the court appearance, Judkins’ attorney, David Weinstein, questioned the timing and credibility of the alleged victim’s claims, noting that the report came five days after the alleged incident, which reportedly took place on July 7. The woman, described as someone previously in a relationship with Judkins, allegedly stayed with him in Fort Lauderdale after the reported incident.

“She then went on to stay with the defendant in Fort Lauderdale for five more days, celebrated her birthday. There was some type of spectacle that she got involved in, and it wasn’t until after that that she made this after-the-fact report,” Weinstein said in court.

The judge found probable cause and set bond at $2,500, which Judkins posted Sunday afternoon.

Judkins, selected 36th overall in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, remains unsigned by the Cleveland Browns.

The team previously released the following statement to 3News: “We are aware and gathering more information.”
