A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck shortly after midnight on Monroe Street. The driver was arrested and charged, Toledo police said.
TOLEDO, Ohio — An overnight crash in west Toledo has left a pedestrian hospitalized Sunday.
The crash happened shortly after midnight in the 5000 block of Monroe Street. According to Toledo police, a pedestrian was walking northbound across Monroe Street when they were hit by a vehicle heading eastbound.
The driver, 59-year-old Juli Yocum of Toledo, was arrested and charged for failure to stop after accident, police said.
The pedestrian, who has not been identified, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Yocum was not injured in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
