Party in the Park draws thousands downtown over 14 weeks in the summer of 2025

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Singing, skydiving and a drone show. Toledo’s final Party in the Park for 2025 ended in epic fashion.

“Mother nature has so much to do with crowd size in any outdoor event. So, we appreciate that we’ve had some rain people come down anyway. They’re not afraid of it, but we also appreciate nights like tonight where, you know, we’ve got apple cider on tap tonight just because of this weather. So, it’s fantastic,” said Cheryl Hardy, who organized this year’s Party in the Park.

Hardy took over the summer series, which included 11 concerts that stretched over 14 Fridays.

The other three weeks had Fourth of July fireworks, Toledo Pride and Jeep Fest. So, there was something happening downtown every Friday this summer.

“Well, this year we have a ton of things to celebrate, which is great. There’s always things we can do better, and we will get better next year, but we have lots of things to celebrate, and one of them is it’s all local,” said Hardy.

“We did local beer. We did local bands, and that really brought out the local community. People feel it, and so it feels different.”

The plan is to bring back Party in the Park in 2026.

Attendance at the concerts this year started with about 2,800 people at the first one, climbing to an estimated 7,000 during a single Friday night concert at Promenade Park.
