Ottawa Hills alum Christine Brennan returns home to promote Caitlin Clark book

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – After spending months covering the Indiana Fever at games, practices, and press conferences, Toledo native Christine Brennan began her book tour for “On Her Game”.

The book gives readers a look into the life of Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever star who has brought a lot of attention to the WNBA.

“That is the magic of Caitlin Clark. The record TV audiences, the record crowds, the WNBA having to move games to bigger arenas. People love her,” Brennan said.

Brennan described Clark as a perfect role model. She used the quote “22 going on 40-50″. The quote uses Clark’s jersey number and highlights the maturity and wisdom she has shown early in her career.

“Caitlin Clark is as good as you’d hope she’d be, and even better. That’s what I capture in ”On Her Game”. Brennan said.

Supporters of the author poured into the two hour event at the high school. They got to ask the author any question and each person went home with a copy of the book.

Brennan told 13 Action News it meant a lot to kickoff her book tour in Toledo, a place that she calls home.

“It’s just so fitting because the hopes and the dreams that I had as a teenager growing up while I was going to school here. To come back here it really is gratifying to me,” Brennan said.

The book is available for purchase online. Click here for one link where you can find a copy.
