State Troopers told WTOL 11 two people were ejected after the car hit a pole and flipped over.
WILLIAMS COUNTY, Ohio — One person has died and another seriously injured after a single vehicle crash in Williams County.
The crash happened around 1 a.m. on U.S. Route 127 near milepost 17 in Millcreek Township.
State Troopers at the scene told WTOL 11 the driver, 20-year-old Dylan Eisel, lost control of the car and hit a pole before flipping over. Eisel and a passenger, 19-year-old Courtney Ames, were ejected from the vehicle.
Ames was taken to the hospital by Life Flight. Eisel was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both occupants were not wearing seat belts. Alcohol impairment and speed are a factor in the crash, according to a press release.
U.S. Route 127 was closed for approximately two hours to clean up the debris. It has reopened to traffic.
