TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Gov. Mike DeWine is holding a news conference Thursday to discuss bird flu.
The Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) has wiped out flocks of chickens throughout the country and resulted in a spike in egg prices.
Two Ohio counties, Darke and Mercer, have recently declared emergencies over the rise of bird flu cases. DeWine’s remarks Thursday afternoon are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Darke County.
