DAYTON, Ohio (WTVG) – Dozens of first responders from Ohio are heading to Kentucky after a winter storm caused devastating flooding that left at least eight people dead.
Ohio Task Force 1, an urban search and rescue team based in the Dayton area, was activated Saturday night. It’s made up of first responders and specialists from across the state.
The team of 47 members left their headquarters just after 10:30 a.m. Sunday for Frankfort, Kentucky.
Toledo Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Fire Chief John Kaminski is among those leading the group.
