Sylvania Townshop police said after their investigation that no foul play was suspected.
SYLVANIA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) was called to assist in investigating a death in Sylvania Township on Saturday May 3.
According to a Sylvania Township police report, officers responded to a home in the 4700 block of High Oaks Boulevard for an unconscious person at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Crews arrived on scene along with the township fire department, who declared 24-year-old Peter Wu deceased. According to police, Wu had not been seen or heard from since April 30.
Police said Wu’s body was found in the residence “and because the manner of his death could not be determined, the Lucas County Coroner’s Office was contacted and BCI was requested to assist in the investigation.”
Sylvania Township police and the Lucas County Coroner’s Office said Monday that at this time, no foul play is suspected. The coroner’s office said in an autopsy that the cause and manner of death are still pending.
On May 10, WTOL spoke with the victim’s mother, Olive Wu, who says police have informed her that her son committed suicide.
