TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The National Museum of the Great Lakes has announced it is providing individuals receiving SNAP benefits free access to its exhibits and museum ships through the Museums for All program.
The program allows individuals receiving SNAP benefits to enjoy free admission for up to four people by presenting a SNAP EBT card. NMGL says this opportunity ensures that everyone has the chance to explore and learn about the Great Lakes’ history through the museum’s exhibits and ships.
“This partnership allows us to open our doors to all to experience Great Lakes history without the hurdle of admission costs,” said Sara Smith, Director of Institutional Advancement at the National Museum of the Great Lakes. “Our dedication to the community is at the heart of our mission, and we are grateful for our partner’s support in making this possible.”
Currently, there are more than 850 institutions nationwide participating in the Museums for All initiative, including art museums, children’s museums, science centers, botanical gardens, zoos and history museums. For a full list of participants, click here.
