TIFFIN, Ohio (WTVG) – A new fundraiser will be taking place this weekend in Tiffin Thursday. This year will be the first year for the new Jingle Mingle fundraiser.
Operation Hallmark announced its newest fundraiser Jingle Mingle taking place on Dec. 5 with the goal of brightening up downtown Tiffin.
“I had a vision to make downtown Tiffin a true Hallmark Christmas destination,” Christy Wiser, the president of Operation Hallmark, said.
For years, the organization has had a goal of brightening up downtown Tiffin during the holidays. The organization has worked with businesses in the past to put lights up on lamp posts and host a nutcrackers scavenger trail and this year, the newest addition for the holidays is the Jingle Mingle fundraiser.
“It’s at the Chandelier in Tiffin. There will be heavy appetizers, cash bar and one of Tiffin’s favorites, No Eileen will be playing music. We will have a dance floor available and just come and have a great time and kick off the holiday season,” Judy Hafley, the vice president of Operation Hallmark said.
Wiser and Hafley founded the organization two years ago. They are always trying to come up with new ways to brighten downtown Tiffin for the holiday season.
“Christmas has always been Judy’s and I’s favorite holiday and we decorate our houses with multiple trees in every room, so we just brought that to downtown Tiffin,” Wiser said.
The event is going to be a first of its kind this year in the area. They are hoping it is a huge success to bring back in in future years.
