TOLEDO, Ohio — A motorcyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries after a crash Tuesday afternoon in west Toledo, according to police.
The crash happened at 1935 W. Laskey Road around 2:45 p.m.
Police said the driver of a Chevy Equinox was attempting to make a left turn onto West Laskey Road from the drive to the Dollar Tree and pulled into the path of a motorcycle traveling east on West Laskey Road.
According to police, the motorcyclist, a 46-year-old Toledo man, attempted to swerve out of the way but was not able to and struck the vehicle. Police said the motorcycle went down and spun 180 degrees before coming to a rest.
TPD said the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Chevy Equinox, a 63-year-old from Toledo, was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
