Mercy Health mammography van visiting northwest Ohio locations in August

TOLEDO, Ohio — Mercy Health’s mobile mammography van has 19 stops around northwest Ohio planned for the rest of August.

The van, which provides 3D mammograms to women ages 40 and older, is designed to make the screenings accessible to visiting communities throughout the 419.

Early diagnosis of breast cancer has proven better outcomes, according to Mercy Health.

The van is customized for patient convenience and allows women to adjust compression.

Screenings at the mobile unit are by appointment only. To schedule your screening, call 833-MAMM-VAN (833-626-6826).

While mammogram screenings may be covered by insurance, Mercy Health recommends verifying if Mercy Health – St. Charles Hospital is in network. Assistance programs are available for those who are uninsured or out of network. You can call Mercy Health at 1-800-929-6626 for more insurance information.
