Man accused of placing camera in women’s bathroom stall at GM Powertrain

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Michigan man faces a voyeurism charge for allegedly placing a camera in the women’s bathroom at a factory.

Toledo Police said Friday that a victim spotted John Hodgson, a 30-year-old man from Trenton, crawling out of the stall at the GM Powertrain plant on Thursday.

Hodgson has been charged with similar crimes in the past, though all had been dismissed.

One case allegedly happened in February of 2024, where he was accused of using a pen to record someone in a women’s bathroom at the University of Michigan Dearborn campus.
