Lt. Governor Jim Tressel tours BGSU

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – In April, Governor Mike DeWine announced that Lieutenant Governor Jim Tressel will lead an initiative to implement Ohio’s Workforce Labor Playbook. Focusing on retaining talent and recruiting new workers to Ohio.

Wednesday, Tressel made a stop in Wood County to talk about those efforts. Tressel toured Bowling Green State University to learn about in-demand job training happening on campus. That included a look at the Technology Engineering Innovation Center, the School of the Built Environment and the School of Aviation and Flight.

“To see how this will impact how quickly the students can get into the workforce and make a difference right away with the newest technologies. It’s just exciting to see this happening in Ohio and especially Northwest Ohio,” Tressel said.
