High school wrestling team under investigation for hazing

DUNDEE, Mich. (WTVG) -A Title IX investigation is underway into alleged acts of hazing, which involved members of the Dundee High School wrestling team, according to district staff.

According to a statement released by the school district, an investigation was launched last month after an anonymous complaint of alleged hazing involving wrestling team members. The superintendent says school administrators and the school resource officer launched the investigation.

Staff, parents and coaches of the team were interviewed during the process. The statement said the investigation revealed an apparent videotape of additional incidents.

The district has initiated a Title IX investigation that will be conducted by Thurn Law Firm. Local law enforcement is set to conduct its own investigation.

The school says all wrestling-related activities are on pause pending the outcome of the investigations.
