TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful, a sustainability-based nonprofit, is hosting Green Time in the 419, its annual fundraiser dedicated to environmental progress and community engagement.
This year’s event will take place on Thursday, September 4 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ostrich Towne in Toledo’s historic Vistula Neighborhood.
The fundraiser will feature live music, local food, craft beverages and environmental networking in support of a cleaner, greener Toledo and Lucas County, according to Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful.
Tickets are $20 and include event admission, food and one drink ticket.
“I’m incredibly proud of the momentum we’ve built over the past several years,” said Adam Cassi, Executive Director of Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful. “This event is a chance to celebrate the progress we’ve made, rally support for what’s ahead, and recognize the individuals and organizations helping drive environmental change in our region.”
Proceeds from the event directly support the organization’s programs, including litter cleanups, recycling education, hard-to-recycle drop-off events and more.
Organizers say funds from the event will also help plant 100 new trees in Toledo’s Point Place neighborhood to replace those lost during the 2023 tornadoes.
