Grand jury declines to indict men charged after Toledo drug bust

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A Lucas County grand jury declined to indict three men charged after a drug bust in Toledo.

County documents on Thursday show the grand jury decided not to move forward with charges against Moustafa, Mohammed, and Ahmed Zaitouni. A spokesperson for the Lucas County Prosecutor’s office said it’s still possible charges could be refilled in the case.

The three men were charged in Toledo Municipal Court after police executed a search warrant at a home on Secor Road in February.

According to a search warrant, police seized more than $58,000 in cash, approximately two kilograms of fentanyl in a safe along with digital scales and guns.

Toledo Police declined to talk about this case and what they found in this stash house.

13 Action News found court records that show police discovered 40 marijuana plants growing in this unattached garage.

According to the court documents, Toledo Police also found at least three cars that were “re-tagged with a fraudulent VIN in an attempt to conceal the identity of the vehicle.”

Police said the cars and truck were stolen.
