The Fulton County Sheriff warned residents to stay alert as deputies search for a 30-year-old suspect wanted on felony parole warrants.
SWANTON, Ohio — Law enforcement agencies are still searching for a man wanted on felony parole warrants after he fled from a traffic stop and ran into a wooded area near Delta on Thursday evening.
According to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and the Village of Delta Police Department, officers attempted to stop a vehicle connected to an active warrant just before 5 p.m. on Sept. 25. The vehicle was flagged by the Flock Camera system near Airport Highway and State Route 64.
A Delta police officer located the vehicle at U.S. 20A and County Road 5-2, but the driver refused to stop, leading officers on a pursuit. During the incident, officers were able to apprehend a passenger, who was arrested for obstructing official business.
Police said the driver – identified as 30-year-old Jesse Brown – ran from the scene on foot into a wooded area near County Road 1-2 and remains at large.
Authorities described Brown as a white male wearing brown shorts, a blue shirt, and a ballcap. He is wanted on felony parole warrants.
Law enforcement, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol, K-9 units, and drone teams, conducted an extensive search Thursday south of Swanton in the area of County Road 1 and County Road 2, as well as County Roads D and EF. The sheriff’s office said Friday they no longer believe Brown is in that area but urged residents to stay alert.
“If you see Jesse Brown, do not approach him. Call 911 immediately,” the sheriff’s office warned.
