Dozens of ‘No Kings’ protests planned in Ohio Saturday

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Protesters will gather in Toledo for a No Kings peaceful protest against the Trump administration on Saturday, Oct. 18.

According to Toledo Persists, No Kings protesters are gathering “to stand together in the belief that America belongs to its people, not to kings.”

The demonstration will span a two-mile stretch of Monroe Street between Secor Road and Nantucket Drive.

It starts at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m.

The local protest is being co-hosted by Toledo Persists, Toledo Troublemakers and the Lucas County Democratic Party.

Over 90 No Kings peaceful demonstrations are planned in Ohio for Saturday, according to organizers.

The protests are part of over 2,500 events nationwide.

National organizers say the aim of the protests is to protect democracy, reject authoritarianism and to send the message that “we are a nation of equals, and our country will not be ruled by fear or force.”
