TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – The Glass City Riverwalk shared a concept design that will eventually grace the city in the spring of 2026.
“Starburst” will be a 15-foot-tall, illuminated sculpture designed for visitors to pass through.
It will feature words and phrases from the community cut into the sculpture, and be located in the International Cove area.
To make your submission, you can attend a community event at the Glass City Enrichment Center Monday, May 5 between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., or email your submission here.
Sculpture artist Blessing Hancock will create the piece which was inspired in part by the late Yehia Hussein “John” Shousher, a well-known Toledo businessman and philanthropist who was integral in the development of International Park.
