HOLLAND, Ohio — If you’re confused about how to safely navigate roundabouts while behind the wheel, the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department’s Traffic Safety Program is offering a training session next week.
The guided driving sessions, 20-30 minutes each, will be held on Aug. 27 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Wonder Ministries on Angola Road in Holland.
“Learn best practices for navigating roundabouts safely and efficiently. This training covers key rules, right-of-way guidance, and strategies for reducing congestion and improving traffic flow. Perfect for drivers looking to enhance their understanding of modern roundabout design,” according to the health department.
The educational event is in partnership with the Lucas County Engineer’s Office and local driving schools.

Another session will be held in Point Place on Oct. 23.
Roundabouts are designed to reduce crashes at intersections prone to them. The engineer’s office opened one to the public last month at the Hill Avenue and McCord Road intersection in Springfield Township.
