TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Buckeyes fans rejoice in victory Monday as the scarlet and gray bring home the title.
Fans packed into local bars and restaurants to cheer on their team as they faced off against the Fighting Irish in Atlanta.
One Buckeye fan, Thomas Taylor, said this game shows the team’s resiliency.
“You can’t bounce back if you don’t fall off, that last game when they walked out of Ohio stadium, we thought the world was crashing down on us,” Thomas said.
“I want it to be a blowout, I don’t want it to be close, I don’t want it to be nervous, you know, we just want to win the game,” said Joe Ward.
The final score was 34 to 23, Buckeyes.
