Clyde Police reveal reason behind viral video showing men undressing in yard

CLYDE, Ohio (WTVG) – Video posted to Facebook by the Clyde Police Department has racked up more than 100,000 views. It shows two men in a yard caught on a security camera undressing.

Police initially asked for help identifying the individuals who were involved in what they called an “incident.” Officers are now revealing that the two are suspects in an aggravated burglary.

It happened at about 9:53 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, inside an apartment where police said there was a man and three young children.

“The adult had minor injuries. He was involved in a scuffle with the two suspects, and the three kids were uninjured and in a separate bedroom at the time,” explained Detective Bruce Kardotzke of Clyde Police.

Officers have since arrested Christopher Steele, 26, of Clyde. He’s locked up inside the Sandusky County Jail on a charge of aggravated burglary. Detectives said there could be additional charges pending.

“We believe that there was a motive involved in the situation, but unfortunately, I don’t want to discuss that just based on the sensitive nature of the case so far,” added Det. Kardotzke. “I will say that there were no firearms involved.”

As for the second suspect, police said he’s still on the run. Investigators have identified him as Corbin Blankenship, also from Clyde. They’re actively looking for him and asking for the public’s help in tracking him down.

“Corbin does have ties to Florida and we’re currently pursuing that lead as we speak,” said Det. Kardotzke.

Court records show Steele was set for a bond hearing this week.
